Redgrave couldn't justify favouritism at Salisbury a couple of weeks ago but is improving with experience and looks the best of those to have already run ahead of the Mark Johnston pair Makkaar and Valley of Rocks, preferred in that order, and Eynhallow. The latter made a promising start at Sandown but was a tad disappointing on easier going next time at York. AMAKHALA changed hands for $380,000 as a yearling and has a cracking North American pedigree. He can make a winning debut as Cape Byron is likely to do better next year over middle-distances.
