In depth

Verdict

The oft-placed Kenyan Cat is likely to be thereabouts again with Willie Twiston-Davies taking off 7lb. Fadhaa looked to be coming back to form at Sandown, though is 3lb higher here, and Spensley won over this C&D in 2009 but subsequent victories have come over 1m4f. Night And Dance was only beaten a short-head by Angel Gabrial at Sandown following a break and should strip fitter here but, along with another recent Sandown second Shavansky, is giving away a lot of weight to CAPE EXPLORER. After just four runs there should be more to come from the recent course winner, who is bred to stay this longer trip, and he gets the nod.
