Verdict

The toughest race on the card by some distance but we will tentatively side with PURE RHYTHM who is preferred to Short Cut, Kheskianto and Makaykla. Stuart Williams' filly comes here on the back of a fair third to Volito at Nottingham. She caught the eye on that run staying on well and this unexposed daughter of in-vogue sire Oasis Dream can get off the mark at the fifth time of asking. Any market support would further enhance her claims, as it would for the returning trio of Makaykla, Miss Tikitiboo and Short Cut. Iron Out is still a maiden after six starts but he has shown some good form over seven furlongs and he looks nippy enough to cope with this drop in trip. Ba Globetrotter continues to hold his form well, Abhainn was well-fancied last time and ran well in third, whilst Kheskianto needs to bounce back after a below-par seventh at Beverley, although in truth she wasn't beaten far. At a price Private Passion could run well with Martin Dwyer taking the ride, but the horse has plenty to prove at present and a safer bet looks to be Pure Rhythm and she is nominated accordingly.
