Verdict

Course and distance winner Consistant usually lives up to his name and must give a good account under the talented Adam McNamara. However, he was beaten an easy 6l by SATCHVILLE FLYER at Chepstow last month and it's hard to see him turning tables on the Evans gelding despite a considerable turn round in the weights. The selection has since been beaten into third spot back at the Welsh venue but that was over the minimum trip and he looks a more effective performer these days over the extra furlong which he tackles here. First Excel looks on a fair mark and has each-way claims whilst Disclosure has come down a few pounds in the weights and ran a best race for quite some time when a decent fourth to Slingsby at Newcastle last month. He's worth putting on the shortlist on that evidence and is respected off topweight.
