In depth

Verdict

Oud Metha Bridge and Cyrus Dallin won maiden races before well beaten in their respective handicap debuts. It remains to be seen how Subatomic fares now handicapping after winning a maiden race over 7f here while Hersigh ended last year with a victory at Lingfield and is 5lb higher today. But BLACK TRILBY had tough tasks behind the likes of Rivet and Lockheed last year and will find this easier on his return. Clive Cox’s colt gets the vote to open his account.
