    Verdict

An ordinary maiden that could go to Satchem if, as expected, David Loder has him primed and ready to go first time out. The Mark Johnston-trained Nufoos does get the fillies allowance though and, with experience on her side, will not make it easy for the selection. However, as the daughter of Zafonic also has a contingency plan to fall back on in a similar race at Ripon tomorrow if needed, it would suggest that she may need a little more time before getting heavily involved with her at likely cramped odds. Not many of the rest make a great deal of appeal on pedigree and the likes of Gavioli and Hawkridge King are probably best watched today. Therefore, this may be best left to Satchem, even though he is sure to improve with age if he develops typical to his pedigree assessment. The Inchinor colt will benefit from the assistance of Kieren Fallon's skill in the saddle and the Irishman is sure to give the colt every chance as he bids to expand upon his 11% strike-rate when teamed up with juveniles this season.
