    Verdict

There was plenty to like about the way that Etlaala won on his reappearance at Warwick and the Barry Hills-trained colt is taken to follow up at the main expense of New Seeker and Polar Ben. The last mentioned has ground conditions to suit and is ideally served by seven furlongs as well so has to be respected on his return to action although he may need a run to put him spot on. Old campaigner Quito is capable of taking a hand but may have to settle for a minor role, while Richard Fahey's Philharmonic has yet to prove his effectiveness over this far. There are no problems as regards the trip for New Seeker, although a faster surface would probably help, and a safer bet looks to be the race-fit Etlaala.
