In depth

Verdict

Catalinas Diamond ran a splendid race when a 100/1 fifth in the Queen Mary at the Royal meeting but failed to build on that effort subsequently, beaten in an ordinary Nottingham maiden and tailed off in Group 3 company when last seen in July. She's also changed stables and the market may indicate her current wellbeing. With those doubts in mind, TIBERIUS CLAUDIUS looks a better option. George Margarson's charge showed little at two but ran a race full of promise when fourth in a good-looking Doncaster maiden won by King Of Jazz on his reappearance and looks on the upgrade. Great Acclaim showed a glimmer of ability on his only juvenile start but that was last July and he arrives here having been gelded and with headgear applied.
