In depth

Verdict

Azurite dead-heated with Breathe Easy over this trip at the Curragh in May but hasn't looked as effective over further on his next two starts. He should be happier back at this distance while it's interesting to see Specific Gravity returning to Europe after a long spell in Dubai. He looked quite smart when scoring at Newmarket for Sir Henry Cecil a couple of years ago. Nonchalant didn't get the clearest of runs behind Chance to Dance at the Curragh and the 11lb he receives from NEWS AT SIX gives him an opportunity to get back on track but Jim Bolger's charge followed his victory in the Apprentice Derby at the Curragh with a facile success at Fairyhouse and can hardly be opposed as he seeks a quick hat-trick.
