In depth

Verdict

MANNHEIM looked in need of his debut run and though beaten by Hit The Jackpot when long odds-on at Galway, time will probably tell he was taking plenty on and this looks more his class. Jockey bookings suggests he is expected to take care of stablemate Astrology but Canaille may prove a different proposition. Jessica Harrington's Giant's Causeway colt played up in the stalls before making an encouraging debut behind Furner's Green at Tipperary and will have come on for the experience. Kashmir Peak and Fight were both beaten a long way on their debuts and will probably need another run or two but Handazan is related to numerous winners and is one to note on his debut.
