Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won 10 of the last 13 renewals and can continue the sequence with PIET MONDRIAN, who has been ready for his debut for some time. Related to numerous winners including French 2000 Guineas hero Aussie Rules, he's been waiting for better ground and provided the rains don't arrive he can make a winning start. Zand is an obvious threat after his excellent debut behind Pearl Music at the Curragh where he stayed on nicely in the closing stages without ever threatening. Tonabrocky can prove best of Jim Bolger's trio but it's Dermot Weld's Ghaamer who can prove best of the remainder as he's from a high-class family on his dam's side.
