In depth

Verdict

Burnswood was put up 3lb after finishing second over C&D in May but far from disgraced when fourth on his reappearance over 2m at Clonmel and has to go on the short-list today. Knockbrack Lad doesn't look badly treated on his best form and Really Unique is starting to find his stride now judged on his recent third to St Killian's Run at Thurles. Strange Encounter has to be of interest as he won this raced in 2009 off a 3lb higher mark but STONEHATCHETMAD has better recent form. Willie Austin's gelding is still chasing a first success after 16 starts under Rules but he has every chance of that maiden victory if reproducing his run at Clonmel on Thursday.
