Verdict

This is for maiden hunter-chasers but there are several with the potential to go on to better things. Edward O'Grady's Val D'Auberge would enter the equation if getting a run from his first reserve spot as he impressed at Lisronagh earlier this month. Goonyella is a very progressive youngster with plenty more to offer while Johnnyofcourse has plenty of experience under Rules which he could put to good use under Jamie Codd. Mister Philson has won seven times between the flags and finished runner-up in a similar race to this at Downpatrick in May while Pocketfullapennies made a winning start between the flags at Loughanmore earlier this month. This can go to NEAR PERFECTION, who won a couple of minor point-to-points in the spring then reappeared to land an open at Lisronagh. His trainer and rider are always to be feared in these events and look to have another nice prospect on their hands.
