      Verdict

      7f winner Mr Maynard is tried over a longer trip on his reappearance but his breeding gives little encouragement. SYNCOPATE joined Pam Sly at the end of last season and won his maiden over track and trip in December. He looks on a decent mark after going close at Wolverhampton last time and is preferred to Tornado Force. The latter won a claimer at Southwell earlier this year and has held his form well while Understory can also figure along with last month's course and distance winner If I Were A Boy.
