    Verdict

A weak but competitive race finishes off the card a while KING OF THE BEERS' 14 length victory last time might have been a fluke we'll take a chance it wasn't and crown him the selection ahead of Sunset Boulevard and Kings Topic. Up 13lbs for that demolition job the selection will also have to contend with being top weight but this sort of trip seems to be ideal. The other concern would be the fact that success came at Southwell but he does have form on Polytrack and he should go well. Sunset Boulevard ran well off this mark last time finding just one too good in a better race over a slightly longer trip. He has won off a mark just a pound lighter than he carries here but he looks more suited to the 12 furlong trip. Kings Topic was a winner over course and distance last time off a mark five pounds lower. That victory was recorded in an apprentice handicap and he should handle this revised rating having won off higher in the autumn. Solo River looks a little high in the handicap but could get into the prize money here while Nassar would also come into that bracket. A difficult race to call this and almost by the process of elimination we go for King Of The Beers.
