    Verdict

The market will offer most clues and in the absence of that information, Ben is put forward in preference to Mister Fips and A Wish For You. Ben's third to Spitfire reads well in the context of this race and having chased home the likes of Vhujon earlier in his career, this appears to be an easier assignment on paper. Mister Fips was backed ahead of his recent outing at Newmarket but had no answers to Swiss Franc. There could be more to come. A Wish For You has shown plenty of speed in the past and is likely to be pitching from the gate. Dalkey Girl was a very cheap purchase but is watched in the market as she hails from a yard in form. Cosmic Art is related to sprinters but his breeding suggests that he might be better over further. Swallow Star has a poor draw to overcome but Ralph Beckett's horses are performing much more consistently than they were. Bookiebasher Dude has hindered his chances with two slow breaks and can ill afford a repeat. Ben looks to have the best form on the board and is accordingly nominated.
