In depth

Verdict

This is a competitive handicap to close the card and we will side with Amwell Brave to get the better of Glendale and Zaffeu. The selection is proving difficult to win with but he hinted that his turn might not be far away with a solid effort here last time when he finished third behind Dark Parade. That was a decent effort and if he can run up to that form today he will not be far away at the finish. Glendale reserves his best form for here so he has to be considered, although he is unproven over this trip which means we are prepared to take him on today. Zaffeu has to be considered as he is running as though his turn is about to come, although he does have a habit of finding one too good. However, he has won over this course and distance so has to be on the shortlist. Larad is more than capable of making the frame so he is another to consider, as is Perfidious who was returning from a break when last seen out. This is a trappy contest and narrow preference is for Amwell Brave to lead them home.
