Verdict

The lightly raced Tricky Venture can follow up his course and distance win from the Christmas period; possibly with the most to fear from Enna, who has been freshened up with a short break before making her debut for her new yard today. Rocky Reppin was a game winner last time but faces a stiffer test here, so the mantle of best-the-rest goes to Yeoman Lad, who is fit from a spell over hurdles and races at this level for only the second time in his career. However, this is the right grade for Tricky Venture and, as he overcame an uphill task in good style when defeating J R Stevenson here nine days ago, it would seem harsh to desert him whilst he is such good heart.
