dwelt, outpaced, never dangerous
slowly into stride, chased leaders, headway halfway, soon short of room, kept on well closing stages, never able to challenge
tracked leader, switched right to challenge over 2f out, soon pushed along, weakened final furlong
tracked leader, led over 1f out, ridden clear inside final furlong, readily
led until over 1f out, soon ridden and weakened
The usual proviso of keeping an eye on the betting regarding the newcomers applies here though Mossgo was engaged to run at Yarmouth yesterday. Perfect Words showed little improvement on his Brockelsby effort despite finishing second at Folkestone last week behind a Bill Turner-trained winner and the latter runs CAUGHT NAPPING here. He attempted to make all at Redcar on his debut but wasn't beaten far and with improvement expected he gets the nod to open his account. Jamnean and Sally Bruce have some catching up to do if they're to get involved.
