This is a wide-open handicap in which My Lilli, Balerno, Night Wolf and Escobar look to be the leading lights and the narrow vote is given to Night Wolf. The selection put up a fair effort on the turf here last time when finishing fifth behind Lucid Dreams over 7f. He is proven on this surface and he will be suited by the step-up in trip as he won over this trip on his previous outing at Brighton. Balerno has been in good form of late and he was a decent second behind Blue Java last time, but he never looked like getting to the winner that day and he does look high enough in the weights at present. My Lilli looks to have solid place prospects based on her effort here last time when she finished third behind Littleton Zephir. However, she has a little to find with Balerno from a race over 7f here in March and some place money is probably the best she can hope for today. Escobar ran well in a banded stakes race last time but he looks to have more on his plate today and for the winner we return to Night Wolf.
