    Verdict

A real mixed bunch on view and NAPA STARR is the selection with El Ameen and Hawaana also figuring on the shortlist. The Byrnes inmate has scarcely troubled the winners enclosure but he has put up a fair effort on Dundalk's polytrack and if bouncing back to any of his French form; he could have been let in lightly. El Ameen has been expensive to follow and the headgear is reached for in an attempt to buck the trend. He could well front run here. Hawaana is particularly well bred. The former Barry Hills inmate has not really hit the heights though could be given claims on the basis of his efforts at Kempton last year. Baariq was pulverised by the handicapper having performed with credit as a juvenile. Yarmouth winner, Astrodonna has struggled off similar marks in the past. Hip Hip Hooray's recent run on the turf was disappointing but he ran far better than his finishing position suggests at Kempton and the booking of Steve Drowne is a statement of intent. Terry Mills runners have been in fair nick so the market is watched in relation to Murrin. Not a race to be too dogmatic over but Napa Starr's presence is not for the vagaries of the air so he has to be the selection.
