In depth

Verdict

Vale Of Kent failed to cope carrying a penalty at Newcastle having made a winning start at Chelmsford. Flirtare wasn’t beaten far at Kempton on her debut but that was in May last year while Jazirat’s absence is less of a concern having gone close for Godolphin at Brighton last summer. But STEALTH makes most appeal dropping back down in trip having shown a big improvement when second at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago and the Gosden colt gets the vote to open his account in this.
