Lii Najma, Barney McGrew and What Do You Know are shortlisted in this handicap and the vote is given to Lil Najma. The selection won well last time when beating Sir Douglas at Wolverhampton and this unexposed filly looks like one to stay on the right side of. She is clearly improving with her racing and the rest should be chasing her tail if she continues with her recent progress. Barney McGrew is an interesting rival as he was short of room when chasing home Super Frank over this course and distance last time. However, he has shown signs of temperament in the past and with this in mind we will take him on. What Do You Know has got some respectable form but he has only ever raced over this trip once and the suspicion is that he is better over a shorter distance. Silent Storm ran really well last time but that was over a mile and this drop back to 7f is not sure to suit. We are therefore happy to stick with the progressive Lii Najma as our choice to lead them home.
