Verdict

GREEN LAGONDA can come out on top here; Vanadium and Stamford Blue look the main dangers. The selection won well at Folkestone before finishing fourth at Nottingham last time. He was the best of those on the stands' side rail that day though and he is probably worth another chance to regain the winning thread. Vanadium has the ability to get competitive here but he has not won for over a year and this drop in trip is not sure to play to his strengths. Stamford Blue wasn't beaten all that far at Salisbury last time but he has now gone 23 races without getting his head in front so he is hard to recommend with confidence. Cativo Cavallino has won over this course and distance, in fact he tends to reserve his best for this track, and he is back on a very fair mark so he can go well at a price. The draw is against Scruffy Skip so Christine Dunnett's 4-year-old is taken on, and we will return to Green Lagonda who is put forward to resume winning ways.
