Today's distance may prove beyond a few of these and that includes recent winner Oratorio's Joy. Cayuga, Rakaan and Aqua Ardens are others with something to prove at 1m2f, but Syncopate scored over track and trip last time and may figure again. Ishikawa should also get involved though he looks high enough in the weights at present, as does Scottish Star. SILVER DIXIE has his first start over the distance since scoring by five lengths at Newmarket back in July. That may well bring out the best in Peter Hedger's charge and he gets the nod in a wide-open contest.
