It isn't too often that Andrew Balding runs his three-year-old's in sellers but a decision to do so with Chesil Beach paid off handsomely as she was able to take victory without attracting a bid at the subsequent auction. OPERA FAN appears the pick of a strong raiding party from Mark Johnston's stable tonight and she is accordingly recommended. Admittedly, the daughter of Cape Cross did not appreciate being taken on for the lead on her most recent start but she showed a determined attitude when successful at Beverley earlier in the campaign and she can go well here. Jarlath never travelled at Nottingham and that run is probably best forgotten. Rochambeau gave the impression there was more to come when staying on into a remote sixth at Windsor and any market confidence behind Roger Charlton's gelding should not be ignored on this first try at handicapping.
