In depth

Verdict

Lightly-raced for his age, CORNISH ICE should be capable of further progress having finished runner-up at Stratford last month. He gets a tentative vote ahead of Kilrush. The latter won over hurdles on faster ground at Worcester in May and will have come on for a recent reappearance. Young Hurricane fell at Wetherby on his chasing bow but is rated higher over timber than Kastani Beach and Guanciale, both of whom have their first starts over the larger obstacles today.
