        Verdict

        SUMMIT SURGE is hard to oppose. The tongue-tie, that he sported when winning the York Stakes is back on, and he followed up that run with a fine fourth to Debussy in the Arlington Million. He hasn't had a long arduous season and he can carry his penalty to victory. The weights of this race narrowly favour Saphira's Fire, and William Muir's Cape Cross mare ran well in defeat earlier in the month at Doncaster. Stablemate Island Sunset has nine lengths to find with Nideeb following Clive Brittain's colt's runaway Kempton win, Hidden Brief needs to improve for the Polytrack, whilst Suits Me is a course and distance winner who will ensure a decent tempo but his handicapping form leaves him well short.
