    Verdict

HELFIRE has looked an improved sort the last twice, travelling smoothly into contention both times. The question is whether he'll handle this first attempt at a mile so expect regular pilot Charlie Bennett to hold onto him as late as possible before delivering a challenge. He's already scored here over 7f, however, so there are no track concerns. Auntie Barber also handled the surface well on her sole start and is respected off top weight while Stosur and course and distance winner, First Experience can't be ignored. But the really interesting one is Rayaa, who hasn't won since her debut but continues to suggest another win is just around the corner - market support would need to be taken seriously.
