      Verdict

      Stand Guard defied a welter burden to win a much easier race over C&D last time but is upped another 6lb today while Thecornishcockney also arrives in fine form, though he's been winning over longer trips. Super Say is another with a chance on his best form having been claimed by Mark Rimell after scoring over 1m2f here with TORNADO FORCE a length behind. The latter re-opposes on 12lb better terms back in a handicap, however, and Chris Dwyer's charge is fancied to come out best on this occasion. Royal Peculiar has bits of form that give him a shout though it's hard to predict when he'll produce it.
