Verdict

El Bravo, successful at Wolverhampton before finishing third at Kempton, and recent Wolverhampton runner-up Liberty Love are among the obvious candidates in a low-key finale. Maslak would have a chance on last year's form but finished last on his return from injury while Broughtons Bandit hasn't raced since May and needs further than this. Winning hurdler WOM would also prefer a longer trip but he makes more appeal than stablemate Persian Herald at the weights and, as his best form is on good ground or faster, there's every chance he'll handle the surface here. He gets a tentative vote as Penbryn's stamina will be tested over this distance.
