    Verdict

With Doncaster re-opening in August this will be the last running of the Doncaster Mile at Lingfield and it can go the way of Richard Hannon's Orchard Supreme, with Bomber Command and Banknote the two to lay it down to the selection. Already a course and distance winner, the selection was held up to get a longer trip last time out and now back over a mile, he could be hard to beat if getting the splits at the right time. Neardown Beauty was only half a length behind the selection when last seen back in November and aimed at this race for a while, he must be a live danger for a jockey he gets on well with. Banknote is consistent and is pretty adaptable in terms of tactics over this, his optimum trip, so he certainly has a chance of winning the race fr the second year in a row for trainer Andrew Balding. Impeller has been over in Dubai but is better over ten furlongs so this drop in trip is unlikely to suit, so of more interest may be Bomber Command who is ultra-consistent however there is just the doubt that a truly run mile stretches his stamina slightly. Chicken Soup looked unlucky last time out when he didn't get the gap but this looks harder so we will oppose him, and return to Richard Hannon's Orchard Supreme as the selection.
