In depth

Verdict

CASCAVELLE showed a big improvement to finish second at Roscommon last time. Dermot Weld’s charge can open his account with any further progress with Ensign looking the biggest threat representing Aidan O’Brien. The latter caught the eye making up late ground at the Curragh on his debut and should have the measure of Masterstonemason. Of the newcomers, Tommy Hallinan is related to three winners and preferred to Escape Clause and Alfred Wegener.
