MEKONG RIVER has a Group 2 entry later this month so will need to take this to justify those ambitions. He was awarded the race on his debut at Gowran and had to battle to complete the double at Killarney but there should be more to come and he can remain unbeaten. David Wachman is represented by Hidden Oasis, who took advantage of heavy ground to win by 10 lengths at Galway, and Ruler Of France, who landed what looked like a tough Gowran nursery last time. Focussed is the only one in the line-up not to have won last time out but he ran very well in a lucrative sales race at the Curragh after his two nursery victories and could prove the main threat, though it would be no shock to see any of the remainder winning a very open event.
