    Verdict

MCEVOY may be a prohibitive price here, given that the expected main opposition Bob Hall is now rated as doubtful, and he should be too good for Cheeky Lad and Made In France. A winner of a similar race at Leicester in March, he was a creditable fourth at Aintree in the John Smith's Foxhunter when showing a tendency to jump to the right, which didn't help. Back on a right handed circuit here will help his cause. He's giving plenty of weight away all round, rated at 123. The next highest is Cheeky Lad rated 98, who was fourth here last time out behind Bob Hall last month. Made In France is having his first go in a hunter chase for a couple of years; he gets the trips, but doesn't usually get involved at the finish. Either of those would probably need a fair bit of luck in running. Given the likely short price of the favourite there should be some each way value to be had to find the runner up, but to win it, we'll side with McEvoy.
