In depth

Verdict

WOLFCATCHER, a dual winner on the Flat in France, came here for his hurdling debut in December and had no problems landing the odds from a subsequent winner. He's in the Triumph Hurdle and this looks a logical next step. Kasakh Noir, another winner on the level in France, was very impressive when landing a juvenile hurdle at Newbury in November but didn't run anywhere near as well on a return visit, though was conceding 10lb to the front pair and wasn't suited by a slow pace. Three Colours Red won twice on the Flat in Ireland and though beaten a very long way into second on his hurdling debut at Warwick will have learnt plenty and gets 7lb from the two winners. Jinsha Lake pulled up in that latter event and Alhamareer was well beaten there earlier on his only start over timber.
