Verdict

Roman Flight finished third in last year's renewal. But he's 16lb higher this time around having been raised further in the weights for a recent defeat of PURPLE BAY at Stratford. The latter represents last year's winning yard and is taken to turn the tables re-opposing on better terms. Stablemate and Newton Abbot winner Honour System is upped in class while other recent winners Max Ward and Laudatory have both been raised 10lb. Slim Pickens and Rolling Maul step up from winning novice events and have more scope than the likes of Castlemorris King, Uriah Heep, Pure Style and Stephen Hero, who all bid for hat-tricks after landing lower grade contests. Montbazon takes a drop in class and could go well from the top of the weights.
