Verdict

John Flint's SANTERA won with any amount in hand at Uttoxeter on Sunday and he is hard to oppose despite his penalty for that success and gets the vote to do just that with the main danger rated as Stopped Out. Kate Walton's gelding showed improved form when last seen in April and he has to be given every chance if ready for his first outing for several months. Michael Scudamore's Dark Energy looked beaten before falling three out at Hereford but has had a confidence booster on the level since then, while John Berry's Extreme Conviction now seems a shade high in the weights. Market support for either Gaspara or Wester Ross would be of interest but it is hard to get away from Santera.
