Mike De Kock had his first winner of the new season here last week and holds a very strong hand. Mazeed did well enough in a couple of maidens last month though it's FAWREE who looks the one to be on. A $240,000 purchase, he missed the break on his debut over 7f a fortnight ago but was staying on powerfully when the winner had flown and should again take care of third-placed Bee Jersey, who attempted to make all but could only stay on at one pace when headed. Cape Of Eagles was well beaten in fourth and looks held but Magical Forest has been very consistent in the UK and will have been sharpened up with a fine run at Kempton last month.
