        In depth

        Verdict

        Doug Watson has been carrying all before him in the early part of the campaign and has the top pair in the weights here. Tried And True won a decent handicap over the trip last month though that was on Dirt and he's been beaten on both starts on Turf. Stable companion Ostaad is another who has done the majority of his racing, and winning, on the all-weather and was well beaten at Jebel Ali last month when Brabbham, who completed a hat-trick on the Dirt track around this time a year ago, was a very good third and Town's History a close fourth. Brabbham will be having his first ever start on Turf but Town's History won at Ripon for Godolphin in July. With most of these having to prove themselves on the surface, the latter has to be respected but a chance is taken with PRINCE SUHAIL, who has produced a couple of decent runs on Dirt recently and has better form on Turf including when just touched off by today's rival Mutual Force at Abu Dhabi in November.
