In depth

Verdict

Singapore has already had a winner at the Carnival so Captain Obvious shouldn't be dismissed despite a big weight. Iver Bridge Lad ended an extensive campaign here last year with a superb effort though he took a couple of races to warm up. Dandy Nicholls has had a brilliant start to the Carnival and the speedy Inxile looks certain to go well though INVINCIBLE ASH may just have his measure this time. Michael Halford's charge made a very promising return to Meydan a couple of weeks ago when staying on strongly over 5f behind Addictive Dream and, though having something to find on official ratings, could spring a surprise. Hitchens is a classy sprinter who would win this at his best though he's never raced on the surface and may just need the run. Reynaldothewizard is always difficult to beat around here and is another to consider in a very open sprint.
