Presvis won this a year ago but has shown nothing like the same sparkle in two runs at this Carnival though both races were slowly run and didn't suit. Wigmore Hall, who was third a year ago, had a nice prep earlier this month though he was six lengths behind AMBITIOUS DRAGON at Sha Tin last May. That winner looks the one to be on as he has been in brilliant form in Hong Kong where he is a multiple Grade 1 winner and has twice narrowly defeated Xtension this year while California Memory is also very closely matched with that pair. Hardwicke Stakes winner Await The Dawn should have a good season though this could hardly be a tougher comeback and the Japan-based Dark Shadow looks a more potent threat as he has high-class form in his native country. Delegator has been brought back to form though it was only a handicap he won here last month but Cityscape represents top-class European form over a mile. Mike De Kock's pair Mutahadee and Musir were a little below par last time but the latter especially is quite capable of winning this at his best.
