Apache Nation showed better form at Thirsk last time and could be of interest if improving again for that run but a better bet looks to be English City, who is preferred to another last time out winner The Great Delaney. The last mentioned has a 6lb penalty to carry for his latest success on soft ground at Chepstow and a combination of the penalty and faster ground may well anchor Kevin McAuliffe's gelding. Prince Evelith is less exposed than most of these but needs to improve, while Alf Tupper faces no easy task giving weight away all round.
