Verdict

Sedgefield runner-up Angel Sun appears to be improving with experience, while Kaolak twice finished runner-up over C&D last season. He was pulled up over fences on his return to action, however, and has since left Keith Reveley for Jim Goldie. Makbullet has yet to finish out of the frame over timber but NORTHSIDE PRINCE is sure to have had plenty of schooling and can make a winning debut over timber. Alan Swinbank's charge won three times over 1m2f on the Flat and could have a bright future at the winter game. Fellow newcomer Beaumont's Party is also worth a second look.
