      Verdict

      Jim Goldie holds a strong hand here, saddling both Kyber and Gordonsville with preference for the former, who gets the vote with Fascinatin Rhythm rated the pick of the remainder. The selection battled well to land an amateur riders contest over two miles here last month and the seven-year-old gelding is taken to defy the penalty that he has for that success. Nero West disappointed on a softish surface at Newcastle last time but may do better here provided that the rain does not arrive, while Collette's Choice could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Fascinatin Rhythm is less exposed than most of these, particularly over this trip and Mick Channon's filly has to be respected but preference is for the in-form Kyber.
