Verdict

SUNARRI can make the weight concession of 7lb from Meridian City count. The selection flopped when odds-on to score at Kelso but that performance was on heavy ground, and were he to repeat the form of his second to Sonowyouno at Aintree, he has to shape as a player. Meridian City gave another boost to the virtues of the Aintree Champion Bumper with a proficient performance at Aintree. Connections presumably would not want too much more in the way of wet weather. Kellystown Lad was a winner of multiple point to points in Ireland. The step back up to this trip should not prove to be an issue as he has won previously over three miles. With the remainder exposed as ordinary, it could be worth giving Sunarri a chance to redeem his reputation this afternoon.
