In depth

Verdict

Asteroid Belt has twice finished ahead of Forster Street but Tim Easterby's charge is closing the gap and may well come out on top today now that Chris Grant's gelding, making a swift reappearance after finishing fourth in a Listed race at Wetherby last week, has a penalty. Greyhope and Captain Baldwin are held on the form book. Fontwell third Geanie Mac may need a longer trip but DOVILS DATE had the speed to win twice over 1m4f on the Flat and is fancied to make a winning start to his hurdles career if his jumping is up to scratch.
