Verdict

Trip The Light is better than he showed last time at Great Leighs but the ground may be against him and preference is for DANZATRICE ahead of Nero West and Kyber. One concern with the selection is that only once has she won two races in a row, however she has kept her form well this season and earlier runs behind Let It Be look rock solid. She travels well in her races and looks up to defying a career high mark of 70, especially as the majority of her wins have come at this time of year. Fossgate steps up in trip today after seemingly getting going too late at Beverley; if handed the tag of favourite he looks opposable. Merchant Of Dubai steps back out of three-year-old races again but looks high enough in the weights at this stage of his career although the run at Haydock last time was too bad to be true. Kristiansand has ability but is hard to predict and may not come here in the same form as when winning over the sticks recently. Kyber is a six times course winner which must put him high on the shortlist, along with the ultra-consistent Nero West. A good handicap here and we will side with Chris Thornton's Danzatrice.
