    Verdict

My Mirasol is nominated ahead of Jack Rackham in the opener. My Mirasol shaped up as a future winner on debut and with experience counting for plenty at this level, there is every reason to suggest that compensation awaits. Jack Rackham has the ideal draw and is precociously bred. His near siblings include Mary Read and Tiana. Stepaside is related to a number of winners over 5f to 1m. Kevin Darley has been booked and the market is watched. Stolt is a full brother to multiple 2-year-old winner, Aahgowangowan. He must enter calculations if the gene pool has been kind. The Nifty Fox makes some appeal on breeding but could have been better drawn this afternoon. A battle between experience and potential and we believe that My Mirasol can utilise experience to land the opener.
