In depth

Verdict

Three Thieves looks the percentage call over Hard To Explain. Mark Johnston's colt has looked a backward sort and has strengthened up accordingly over the course of the Summer. He kept on gamely to chase Daylami Star at Pontefract over 1m2f and if he has continued to improve - there does not look to be too much in the way of opposition. Hard To Explain did little wrong on debut at Hamilton. He looks to have a small race within his compass. He should be able to confirm recent form with Crimson Flame. Boquilobo does not look to be one of Sheikh Hamdan's best horses and is exposed. Laphonic ran a fair race on debut. Mark Johnston did win the race with Dream Mountain so there is every reason to suggest that he would probably know where is with this raider. Munaa would be better off in a nursery. Three Thieves gets the nod.
